CORRALEJO PLATE OF FILMS
The island of Fuerteventura is characterized by its lunar landscapes and its endless dunes as well as its immense beaches with crystal clear waters. Due to these characteristics and the great work of companies from here that have dedicated themselves to promoting our island among the great international producers, for all this the island already has a large number of films shot in different parts of its territory, being Cofete, the dunes Jandia and Corralejo and El Cotillo are the most popular places.
Fuerteventura has been the natural set for films such as Caótica Ana (2007) by Julio Medem; The Dictator (2012), by Larry Charles; Unamuno en Fuerteventura (2014) by Manuel Menchón, and The book of Exodus (2014) by Ridley Scott.
Hollywood has entered the island with great force to such an extent that the last MARVEL blockbuster has been filmed on the Island. The film is called WONDER WOMAN 1984 and it has been the production with the largest budget of all those made to date in Spain. But the island has already hosted other productions of established films.
PLANET OF THE APES in 1968
On the beach, Cofete beach, located southwest of Fuerteventura, on the Jandía peninsula, was shot in 1968 one of the most legendary movie endings in the history of cinema. This is the final scene - in addition to much of the film - of the original version of 'Planet of the Apes' and starring Charlton Heston. We all remember that scene in which Heston discovers that he has traveled to the future when he found the Statue of Liberty half buried in a ruined state.
CHAOTIC ANA
A Julio Médem production that was shot in Madrid, Ibiza and Fuerteventura in 2006, is a story against tragedy, driven by the force of optimism and the protagonist's need to be happy -explains Médem-. Ana is a free spirit who turns her passion for life into painting. Justine, a cosmopolitan patron, invites her to complete her training in Madrid with the group of artists she protects.
THE DICTATOR 2012
The comic film "The Dictator" (Finchley Dreams) directed by Larry Charles and starring Sacha Baron Cohen, Megan Fox and Ben Kingsley among others, was shot in Fuerteventura. After filming in cities such as New York, Morocco and Seville, the Paramount Pictures production company ended its filming on the Canary Island.
The filming took place in the dunes of Corralejo, also in the La Herradura ravine, in Puerto del Rosario.
EXODUS GODS AND KINGS in 2014

The exterior shots of the film were shot in Fuerteventura, specifically in Cofete, Punta de Jandía, El Cotillo, the ravines of Buen Paso and Los Canarios, Risco del Paso and Tebeto.
